Welcome to the first of this series! I've been following several blogs and vlogs and a lot of them have some sort of post going where they write about what they'd sit down and say to their friend as they met for coffee, tea, lunch or to merely spark a conversation with a cubicle neighbor. Needless to say I really like the idea, and so I wanted to start my own type of series here on my blog. It won't be a weekly thing... Just a random Tuesday type of thing ;-)
Today if we would have met, it would have been for coffee! I partied hard the weekend prior which is a rarity for me. So, I'm still feeling it. Part of that is because the next few days ahead are CRAZY busy and while I'm looking forward to it; I'm semi freaked out at the amount of things I've committed myself to at once.
A few (too many) months ago, I purchased this bag as in impulse purchase after browsing Instagram at 2AM. Actually, what really happened was I saw it, went to purchase and saw it was sold out. Which only made me want it THAT much more... And I waited (and stalked) Humble Hilo's website for weeks and weeks in order to be able to purchase this bag. Since I got it, it's literally been sitting in my closet. In all honesty, it wasn't what I expected. It was smaller (I immediately wished I had ordered the large bag upon receiving it). But I still love it and it's very on point with the boho trend I've been absolutely loving lately. So, I decided this week it was time to start using it before summer was over. (It's most definitely the perfect s u m m e r bag!)
I would tell you that I'm dying to have some new shots taken to use for my yoga business. I'm creatively trying to think of ways to get this done without only using my iPhone as a camera. I've found some pretty amazing photographers in the area, but I am just not willing to pull the plug on their astronomical fee for something so minimal (in a material sense) that I'll end up getting back.
We'd also talk about how I'm actively looking to expand my yoga business into another studio. I'd tell you all about my little story of a studio and the path that lights before me.... and how it just isn't working out. BUT at the same time, something else has shown it's self in the horizon. I'd tell you I'm really nervous about going after it, because it may mean that the first place we literally just spend 30 minutes talking about can't happen because of it. You'd tell me again to stop living life with "what ifs" on your mind. I'd say, yeah... you're right. I have to do what's best for me. I'd take a drink, and then we've move onto something else.
...Probably the fact that I'm in desperate need of getting my color touched up... or a pedicure (or both)
Have you read my latest links and loves blog post? Because there, I talked about how much I was loving the screen tees from Target.. (and Kohl's too) and had just placed a big order last week. Well, it arrived on my door step Monday and I'm even more in love than I was before.
-Online, there's actually a sale happening which prompted me to place an order last night. (I know... it's bad!)
Thursday a friend of mine has a yoga + writing workshop that I'm SUPER excited to be taking. Hoping it give me some content to be able to share on my blog and also give me a way to get back to myself.
I'd then tell you that there are a TON of yoga festivals that I was planning on attending like; Metaphysically Fit Fest in Yorkville on July 23, TRIBE Camp Out in Elburn on August 6th OR Soul Love Fest in Oswego this September and I'd invite you to come with me!
I'd show you this website and tell you all about how I ordered 3 different things on there. Then after placing my order, I saw all these comments about how people had waited weeks/months for their items and still hadn't received... I'd tell you about how nervous I was. Not because my order was $35 but because I was worried I wouldn't receive the things I ordered. I've literally looked everywhere for tapestries like these and haven't been able to find anything I like.
We'd notice the time, and that we had overstayed our welcome. Then we'd hug and swear that we won't wait so long to do this again. (We will)
I'd order another coffee, probably with an extra shot of espresso and then I'd go home to try and tackle some kind of organizing or cleaning project before bed time.
